Call for art: The Future We Make

We invite artists to submit work for Through Our Eyes: The Futures We Make, an exhibition centered on futurism, imagination, and the act of building what does not yet exist.

This call asks artists to move beyond reflection and into creation. While acts of reclaiming and returning may inform the work, they are not the endpoint—they are the foundation. What do we do with what we’ve carried forward? What becomes possible when we imagine beyond the present?

We are especially interested in work that is speculative, experimental, and forward-thinking—work that envisions new ways of being, new systems, new relationships, and new worlds.

Guiding questions include:

  • What futures are you imagining, and who do they serve?
  • How do memory, identity, or history shape what comes next?

  • What have you inherited, and how has it shaped you?

  • What do we take back? Where do we go back to? How are we changing it?

  • Where are we going and how do we get there?

  • What inspires you to build, grow, and imagine?

  • Who is impacted by the choices you make?

All mediums are welcome, including (but not limited to) visual art, installation, digital media, sound, and interdisciplinary work.
